EnviroDome: EnviroDome Update Haiti "Repost"

Winter Is Upon Us! What a summer and fall we have had.

We have been battling with some website issues over the past month or so. Those pesky little hackers decided to compromise our site. We are in the process of Re-building the site with new and improved software in place to avoid this problem in the future. Sorry for any inconvenience. As of now we just have the EnviroDome home page on line. We will be adding pages with photos and lists of accessories soon. In the mean time please visit Intershelter’s web site. I will send out an update once our site is completely up and running safely!!

As many of you know Intershelter and EnviroDome have been working together to get domes into Haiti. There is no better structure around for this application. The dome can handle Earthquakes and very high winds. Because the dome is so portable you can get them into some very remote locations.

This full size pickup transported the dome from the port to a U.S. Business Located in Haiti.

Once the dome was up Haitians were able to come in and have a tour of the dome. Many were surprised that the dome was put up in such short amount of time. Larry and the crew were able to have it up in less than 3 hours. We hired local Haitians to build the dome and add an interior kit. Not one of the Haitians had every seen a dome much less put one up. The thought of having a hurricane proof, earthquake proof shelter in such a short amount of time excited all who came by for a visit.

The tents and ruble that dot the scenery of Haiti has not changed since the earthquake in January. Our vision is to rebuild Haiti to a state that is an improvement to life prior to the January Earthquake. Project Green Haiti is one way to accomplish this task.
